Privacy Policy
Draft — written for this rebuild, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. Have PAEP's counsel review before relying on this. (The old site only had WordPress's generic default privacy boilerplate, which didn't mention membership data at all, so this replaces it rather than migrates it.)
What we collect
When you apply for or hold PAEP membership, we collect the information you provide directly: name, email, CNIC, phone, city, institution, qualification, membership category, and any documents (e.g. CV, photo) you upload. If you pay membership fees, we also hold payment records (amount, invoice number, gateway/transaction reference) — we do not store your card or mobile-wallet credentials ourselves.
How we use it
To review membership applications, manage your account and membership status, send you renewal reminders and announcements, and generate invoices and digital membership cards. We don't sell member data to third parties.
Who can see it
Your profile is visible to PAEP administrators/committee reviewers for processing your application and membership. PAEP does not currently publish a public member directory.
Your rights
You can review and update your profile information from your dashboard at any time. To request a copy or deletion of your data, email info@paep.org.pk.
Security
Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. The site runs over HTTPS. Access to member data in the admin panel is restricted to authorized PAEP administrators and committee members.
